Orphiole
Constructed by the Jupiter Energy Consortium, the Orphiole was designed for use in the upper reaches of gas giant planetary bodies. It uses a Minovsky Craft system to give it neutral buoyancy within the Jovian atmosphere. The pilot is cradled within a special cocoon where he reclines in an inert liquid bath and is hooked up to a series of biomonitors. If necessary, the onboard medical computers will inject stimulants and other drugs necessary to maintain consciousness in the pilot.

The Focus Rifle is specially designed to operate in dense atmospheres with minimal dissipation of beam strength and range. The armour is a special multi-layer type which can actually expand or contract depending on outside factors, such as ambient pressure. A special Psycommu system can also be fitted, which allows a Newtype pilot to operate the Orphiole by remote control.

The design of the head, especially, was inspired by 'Elmedine' from 'Dragon's Heaven'.

Ahh, very cool I could kinda tell it had that feel to it. Kobayashi just plain rocks, his stuff is really wild, fluid, and organic. This design has that feel and that's groovy in my book.
