Model 90 'Gothos' by RyujinDX Model 90 'Gothos' by RyujinDX
Another MS from my 'Anno Astra' alternate universe.

Model 90 'Gothos'

A heavy MS manufactured by Lockheed-Martin, the Gothos boasts of thick armour, a powerful I-field barrier and a heavy weapons payload. It has a pair of elevating mounts designed to withstand the sudden, heavy shocks produced by high-angle artillery weapons. All its armour plates are detachable for easy replacement. The hip binders were added to increase its maneuverability and to counter the added mass of its full payload.

Commercially available, the Gothos has not been officially adopted by any party or faction, although small handfuls have turned up in the unlikeliest of places.

Design Notes: The Tallgeese series greatly influenced the overall design. The I-field system is based on that of the Ex-S Gundam, while the head was inspired by the Mercurius. The original design was supposed to have a pair of funnels sitting on top of its shoulders, but the idea was shelved for story and design reasons (the original sketch was terrible)--that's when I looked to the Tallgeese for design solutions.

Is this a space worthy Mech? I assume it is, and I'd bet that Coilgun would be rather nasty to deal with.

I'm honestly surprised the American Ferderation isn't all over this MS, I mean, it IS an american design, and Lockheed Martin was always a longtime supplier of military aircraft for them.
