Maeve O’Hara

A native-born citizen of Eire in her mid-thirties, Maeve is a veteran member of the government-condoned paramilitary group Morrigan and pilots a Firbolg mobile suit optimized for high-speed deep-space assaults.

She sports a pilot’s softsuit which lacks the rigid ballistic armour panels usually present in military softsuits, substituting instead thickened ballistic polyamide sections for her arms & upper torso. The rigid groin harness facilitates disposal of liquid wastes and supports her standard belt order, consisting of a pistol and personal medkit. She wears a data entry pad on her thigh, for easy accessibility while piloting.

A commercial offering from Barr & Stroud, the headgear functions as a communications device and vision aid. The various thin-film CCD cameras are capable of image intensification, thermal imaging and near-IR/UV detection, with onboard software enhancement. The eyewear projects images directly into the retina and can function, with the correct interface, in place of a synthetic environment helmet. The right cheek-piece functions as an induction microphone and the low-power laser above the left ear functions as both rangefinder and line-of-sight communications system.

Her hair is usually bound up during operations—she is actually too vain to cut it short, even though it could potentially compromise the integrity of her neck seal.
